Riaan is an experienced exploration manager with over 15 years' successful experience in exploration and project development in Namibia and beyond. He specializes in the management of both Greenfields Projects as well as more Advanced Exploration Projects and the development thereof, he has covered a variety of commodities including Uranium, Copper, Zinc, Lead, Bauxite, Iron Ore, Gold, Silver and Diamonds.  
 
His involvement covers all six phases of projects from Initiation, Design, Definition (Evaluation), Development and Implementation through to Bankable Feasibility Studies. His experience focuses on investor relations, key stakeholder management, business development, target generation, tenement management, soil geochemistry surveys, mapping, geophysical data interprets, geophysical surveys, extensive drill program management and the management of multi-disciplinary exploration teams that deliver turnkey solutions to project owners.

Riaan has held crucial senior roles in TSX, AIM and ASX listed entities namely, Rio Tinto Exploration; Trevali Mining Corporation; Anglogold Ashanti, WIAGOLD, Extract Resources Ltd.  He played a pivotal role within Extract Resources’  team as a senior exploration geologist, which is credited for the Husab Uranium >600mlbs uranium discovery coined the Husab Deposit. The discovery moved the respective share price from AUD 0.04 to AUD 15.00 as the peak of exploration. More recently he has held both the technical role of senior exploration geologist and executive role (Director) in the Namibian subsidiaries of WIAGOLD. WIAGOLD is now at the brink of a new gold discovery in Namibia (Kokoseb – 18m @ 2.04 g/t Au and 52m @ 1.65 g/t Au – recent trench results). 

Riaan is an active member of the Chamber of Mines in Namibia, a Life Member of the Geological Society of Namibia and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
