Quinton Adams is the Executive Director Human Capital Development for Copper 360. He has vast experience in transformative community practices and has worked in various industries before. He was a former university lecturer at Stellenbosch where he specializes in dealing with deep seated social complexities within the social environment. His job in Copper 360 is to enhance community and stakeholder engagement within the Namaqualand area and to ensure that Copper 360 plays a pivotal role in community transformation and to enhance sustainable impact. He is spearheading the newly found Copper 360 School of Mining whereby they train and develop young unemployed people to enter the mining industry. The region struggles with a high youth unemployed rate and these young people find it extremely difficult to enter the mining industry because they are not employable due to the lack of mining related training and development skills and knowledge. The Copper 360 Mining School has therefore already addressed these challenges by training hundreds of young unemployed people in mining related courses. The goal of the Copper 360 School of Mining is to make the mining industry an attractive industry again for young unemployed people.
