Kate is General Counsel, and an experienced NED and strategic advisor to various mining and contracting companies, large corporations and financial institutions.     


As a qualified lawyer in both the US and UK, Kate brings a strongly commercial focus to create value, communicate complex legal problems in an accessible way, and minimize risk. Kate has over 15 years of experience working with mining companies and finance providers across various geographies and commodities. 

Her expertise includes the structuring of private equity investments, managing the project financing process, coordinating due diligence, negotiating commercial terms, improving corporate governance, managing litigation and liaising with regulators and other key stakeholders. She is passionate about creating and managing teams, supporting and developing the careers of others and driving excellence. 

Kate has a proven track record in completing complex transactions, and creating value while controlling costs and managing risks in a challenging commodity price environment. 

Admitted to practice in the UK and New York, fluent in French and conversant in Spanish and German. Kate has worked in multiple jurisdictions and demonstrated flexibility, tenacity and diplomacy while working on projects in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America/Canada and Africa.
