Driving sustainable investment in African Mining

Jed Goldstein

Lead – Infrastructure Development First Quantum Minerals

Jed Benjamin Goldstein is an Infrastructure Development Lead at First Quantum Minerals, currently based in Lusaka, Zambia. 

Jed’s key focus areas include: collaborating with Zambia’s state power utility, ZESCO to ensure sufficient renewable power generation for the country’s industrial expansion, developing private-public partnerships that enhance key transportation corridors, and focussed efforts to incentivize local content creation across the mineral value chain. Prior to this role, he served as a Business Analyst at First Quantum's Guelb Moghrein copper mine in Mauritania.

Before entering the mining industry, Jed led supply chain efforts in the food service sector, focusing on direct sourcing from networks of smallholder farmers across Southern Africa. He is particularly interested in large-scale projects that intersect the commercial and developmental spheres.

Jed is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his MBA from London Business School.
