Eliphas Hawala started his career as Assistant Mining Engineer in the Ministry of Mines and Energy, before moving to the private sector. In 1997, he joined Namdeb Diamond Corporation in Oranjemund, as mining engineer. His experience at Namdeb ranges from Production Supervision, Process Management, Mine Planning, Mining Projects as well as Mining Manager. Eliphas Hawala also served as General Manager at NamGem Diamond Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Namdeb, from 2004 until he joined Epangelo Mining in 2010. Mr. Hawala has been the Chief Executive Officer of Epangelo Mining Company, from 2010 until present, he oversees the operations and functioning our long-term strategy and development as well as the day-to-day activities of Epangelo Mining Company and its ventures.
Eliphas Hawala graduated from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado, USA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering (1994) and a Certificate in International Political Economy. He is a holder of a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (South Africa), for mines other than fiery mines.
