Dirk is a mining engineer from South Africa and started his working career with 8 years in an underground mining production environment before moving across to the Oil & Energy sector.

During his career Dirk has lived and worked in South Africa, Zambia, West Africa, East Africa, Asia, Central America and is now a member of TotalEnergies’ B2B Solutions team at the company head office in Paris, France. 

Dirk currently leads TotalEnergies’ Global Mining Segment with a team focused on decarbonising the mining segment through the introduction of TotalEnergies’ low-carbon and no-carbon products and services.
