David-Alexandre Tremblay

David-Alexandre Tremblay is a Canadian national.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Université Laval and a Master's degree in Engineering from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. He is also a black belt in LEAN Managament.

In February 2020, David-Alexandre Tremblay joined Rio Tinto QMM as General Manager of Operations. Prior to joining QMM, David-Alexandre Tremblay held the role of Director of Performance and Strategy at Rio Tinto Aluminium Group in Quebec with some fifteen years' experience in operational and strategic roles in Rio Tinto including the start-up of the Kitimat, Canada smelter and roles as Operations and Strategic Directors.

In June 2022, he was appointed Managing Director of QMM S.A. and provided Executive Leadership for Rio Tinto QMM, focusing on QMM S.A.'s strategic vision, achieving QMM's operational goals within the framework of safe and sustainable operations, optimizing the organization through the deployment of the Rio Tinto Safety Production System, delivering financial performance beyond plan, and collaborating between QMM and the community for a strong and sustainable partnership.
