German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) at BGR

The German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) is the national information and advisory platform for mineral raw materials and is part of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). Considering the energy transition and further key and future technology developments, DERA evaluates commodity markets and international mineral supply sources to make German companies and political stakeholders become aware of potential price and supply risks along the value chain. DERA was established by decree of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and is aligned with the German Government’s raw materials strategy.
