The inaugural Leaders of Tomorrow competition celebrates the rising stars who have led on a major innovation, discovery or research project within the last two years.

Applicants could already be working in the industry or be student producing a standout thesis on new and exciting area within the mining industry.

Four finalists will have 10 minutes to present their idea to the leading judges on the Main Stage of Mining Indaba.

The winner will get access to two hours of mentoring time from each of the leading judging panel over the next 12 months to support their career progression.

The competition is open to everyone under the age of 35 who’s project will move the industry forward in the fields of:

  • Safety
  • Water
  • Exploration
  • Mineral Recovery
  • Strategy
